Sponge mode.

Having not done anything Game Programming related in a looong time, especially in C#, I've been spending the past little while planning and researching.

Things are coming together nicely.

So far I have the following roughed out:

  • State management and Scene handling
  • Environment Level Generation
  • Player Movement

I also have my Design Doc beefed out and some killer flow charts going on.

It's early days but there's the start of a wee game there! Not only that but the knowledge seems to be sticking/resurfacing. This is good!

Plug in baby!

So this morning has been spent installing plug-ins, SDKs and other such nonsense in the run up to pre-production prototyping.

I also did some really swell storyboards with magenta boxes where the player should be. High detail stuff!

A post!

The design document and style guides for the upcoming project are coming along nicely. Once this is all wrapped up, I'll be moving on to the first stage of concept art.
